Rumsey Hall is an independent junior boarding and day school in Connecticut, USA, where children build the knowledge, skills, and values that prepare them for a remarkable future.  

Rumsey’s previous website had become dated and no longer reflected the school’s character or aspirations. We set out to create a fresh, authentic, and user-friendly website that truly embodies Rumsey Hall’s values and mission—offering prospective families a seamless experience through rich storytelling, compelling visuals, and intuitive navigation.

The Web Kitchen first built a website for Climate-KIC in 2012, and were re-commissioned to build a new site in 2017 to reflect the changes in the structure of the organisation. Following a significant rebranding project in 2024, The Web Kitchen was once again awarded the commission to implement the new brand in a site-wide design and development project.

We worked with ESM during a period of significant change for the school, as they not only shifted from a diamond structure to be fully co-educational, but also renamed the school and introduced a vibrant new brand and identity.

We designed the Erskine Stewart Melville website to be a dynamic and engaging reflection of their transformative journey. Facing a name change, a shift to fully co-educational, and a new brand launch, ESM needed a digital presence as bold as their vision.

One of the most distinctive and special features of the University of Oxford is its college system. Oxford’s colleges are small, multidisciplinary communities, each with their own students, fellows, administrative staff, libraries, accommodation and facilities. Each college therefore has a unique history, personality and identity.

Over the last few years we’ve been lucky enough to redesign and build new websites for several Oxford colleges, building our portfolio over time through successful launches and positive word-of-mouth.

For each separate project, we set out to communicate the narrative of each college in a way that is original, modern and authentic to the specific character of their individual institution.
